Reverend Timothy L. Craven grew up in western Pennsylvania in McKeesport. In 1974 he graduated with a degree in English (Creative Writing) from Penn State University and a minor in History. From 1974 until 1983 he enjoyed an extensive musical career throughout the United States performing original and traditional American folk, bluegrass and old time music. He still plays with The Craven Family Band . He graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 1987 and has served as the pastor of Mellingers Evangelical Lutheran Church since that time. During his time in Lancaster County, Pastor Craven has served on the boards of LutherCare, Ephrata Area Social Services , the Lutheran Camping Corporation of Central Pennsylvania and on the Ephrata School Board

Director of Music Carl Tobias is a native of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Lebanon High School. His education includes studies at Franklin and Marshall College, engineering training with ICS and Miller Fluid Power in Illinois. Musical studies began at age 8 continuing throughout his life. He graduated from Westminster Conservatory in Princeton,New Jersey, in Church Music, majoring in organ performance. Carl is an accomplished brass instrumentalist, teacher, band conductor, vocalist, choir director and organist. He has resided near Adamstown since 1961, served on the Cocalico School Board and has been the Director of Music at Mellingers since 2006. Carl has published an excellent book of Psalms which he has composed and organizes a wonderful OctoberMusicfest every year. |
Parish Secretary and Staff Assistant Kelly Parrish
is from Penn Hills near Pittsburgh. In 1987 she graduated from Allegheny Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts. She continued her studies and graduated from West Chester University in 1989 with a degree in Psychology. She donates her time to the community through volunteering with Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Swim Instruction. |

Shari Rabold Weaver,
Co- Director of Christian Education,
grew up in Schoeneck, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cocalico High School in 1986. Shari is a member of the Schoeneck Memorial Association and a Cub Scout Leader for Pack 38 in Ephrata. She also serves as a Webelos Den Leader and a Venture Crew Advisor. Shari has been active leading Sunday School at Mellingers for 8 years. |
 Diane Adair, Co-Director of Christian Education, grew up in Denver, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cocalico High School in 1987. Diane has been teaching Sunday School for 16 years. She is employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for Susan J. Probst, MD. |
 Vicar Tina Toburen, is a third year Master of Divinity student at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, where she is studying to become an ordained pastor. Tina graduated from Gettysburg College where she studied Psychology, Religion and History. She is originally from Monroe, Michigan and is serving at Mellingers from August of 2010 through July 2011 as a student intern. |
