joHN THE Baptist Bible Story
~ In October our two Bibles stories included “Walking on Water” where we learned how important it is to always keep our eyes on Jesus and the story about the “Widow’s” Offering”. Do you know how many coins the poor widow dropped into the moneybox outside the Temple? We do!
~ November was a busy month; we learned about John the Baptist and how important he was in Jesus’ life. Did you know two of John the Baptist’s favorite foods were honey and locusts? We all decided we’d stick with the honey and pass on the bugs!
The last two Sundays of November were filled with making a Thanksgiving craft and creating Christmas ornaments which will be used to decorate our classroom tree during Hanging of the Greens.

Bible Story Time
The Parable of the Farmer and the Seeds
The children learned about parables in September by studying
The Sower.
Seeds were scattered in the rocks, in the weeds, on a path and in the good soil. We learned that Jesus used this parable to explain to his followers that when they spread the Word of the Lord, people will act like the seeds. Some seeds didn’t grow just like some people will not listen to God’s Word. But many people will listen and God’s Word will grow in them just like the seeds in the good soil grew into beautiful plants!
